Children of the Earth teaches children about the wonders and beauty of the Earth. We learn about and explore the sacred elements of earth that are fundamental to our existence. We will spend time outdoors, play games, make crafts, dance, sing and do short child-centered meditations. While this program is very spiritual in nature, all activities are age-appropriate and playful - we have fun!!! Includes snacks.

In our 4th year of running a summer day program for spiritually aware children ages 5-12, we emphasize fun, game playing, developing environmental consciousness of the planet, team building, respectful treatment of peers & elders, all intertwined with lessons of the Native American and other ancient cultures.

Rooted in indigenous ways, all participants earn an Indian name, connect with their power animal, identify a tribal name for their group, compose a tribal chant and invent their own rituals and practices. They play popular team building games, swim, do arts and crafts and play, play, play!!!

Our philosophy is to provide lots of fun and enlightening choices for the children with a general structure that allows for honoring the children's energy of the day. For example, if it's a really hot day and the group wants to stay in the pool most of the day, then they can use most of the free time to do that. Each day always includes group gathering, snacks, lunch, meditation in the tipi, community games and group closing. Groups are limited to 20 children.

The most important aspect of this week long extravaganza is community building and encouraging the children to explore their intuitive abilities while living as one with the Earth. There is no better place to find peace and learn about core aspects of the inner soul than surrounded by Mother Nature.

The group will start by traveling to a campsite in the country (TBD in Maine, NH, or Vermont) where we will spend 4 of the 5 nights. During the week, the children will learn basic camping skills, swim, hike, canoe and play lots of fun team building games. The children will learn about the types of trees and plants in the area and tune into their energies. They will meditate each day and journey with their power animals to gain direction and sacred knowledge about their life's purpose. They will also have unstructured time to just build a rapport with each other. As with our programs for younger ages, we will follow the group energy and allow as much freedom as possible with choices about daily activities. For the last night, they will travel back to Massachusetts for a final night of camping at our farm in Norfolk for a farewell celebration.

Group size is limited to 10.

We open the circle with a blessing and a short reading as guided by Spirit. We then open the call up to each person to speak their prayer/need. (There is NOTHING like first hand knowledge!)

The first portion of the class will be lecture-style with plenty of opportunity for questions and answers. The second part of the class will be an Introduction to Angel Reading using Angel Oracle cards with a focus on parenting. The purpose of this exercise is to help you connect with the Angels and your own higher-self so that when you're in that "Oh my God, what do I do now??!!!" moment, you have another tool to draw upon and ask the Angels for advice. Time will be given to practice and experience role-playing for those patience-challenging situations! For the last night, they will travel back to Massachusetts for a final night of camping at our farm in Norfolk for a farewell celebration.

Ethan Roe is a high school math teacher at the Blackstone/Millville Regional Schools and has had a passion for music all his life. When he spent an extended visit in Australia, he learned how to play the didgeridoo which is an ancient Aboriginal instrument that has recently become more familiar in these parts. Ethan is also a natural born, self-taught drummer who has always walked with rhythm!

Indigos and Children of Spirit are gathering together for a winter weekend of fun, learning from each other, and creating a community all their own. We will provide discussions about health, school, friendships, and family that will be guided by an Indigo parent, but facilitated by an older Indigo child (Indigos do best when led by one of their own!). Includes a Saturday overnight.
